Penalties for an Extreme DUI

The penalties for an extreme DUI are steep, even for a first offense. The minimum mandatory penalties for an extreme DUI conviction are as follows:

  • Suspension of license for three months or more

What is the Difference Between an Extreme DUI and a Super Extreme DUI?

You may be charged with an extreme DUI if your BAC was greater than 0.15% but less than 0.20% within two hours of operating a motor vehicle. If your BAC was greater than 0.20% within two hours of operating a motor vehicle, you can be charged with a super extreme DUI .

A first offense for a super extreme DUI carries more severe penalties than that of a first offense DUI or extreme DUI. With a first-offense super extreme DUI conviction, you may spend a minimum of 45 days in jail, pay over $2,700 in fines and fees, have your license revoked, and more.
